the 14-point sliding board game from GamesCrafters at Berkeley — slide your three pieces forward, occupy your opponent's home or trap them so they can't move. the bot on the other side has solved the entire game before making its first move.
each player has 3 pieces. blue starts on the left, red on the right. blue moves first.
on your turn, slide one piece forward only (never back toward your own home) along a straight line, as far as you like, stopping before the first piece in the way — you can't jump it or land on it.
win by moving all 3 of your pieces onto your opponent's 3 home points, or by leaving your opponent with no legal move on their turn.
our solver found something the rules page doesn't mention: with perfect play from both sides, blue (the player who moves first) is a forced loss — it takes 8 red moves of flawless defense to close it out. play red for the theoretical edge, or play blue and try to find the one line that trips the bot up.
